Revies from TopTenReview: We experienced some problems converting certain file types with Cucusoft’s DVD to iPod + iPod Video Converter Suite. But in most situations, Cucusoft’s software is above average. If you set the program specifications to match your iPod, you’ll have a fairly high-quality MP4 to watch.

The iPod Video Converter Suite’s advanced settings seem more basic than advanced, but they work well and are easy to use.

The criterion that keeps Cucusoft out of the top five is support. They have standard help and support features, but for quite some time, their email feature has not worked. We sent several emails and received the same automated message. more…

Reviews from TopTenReviews: Cucusoft’s Video Converter software is a basic conversion program that really doesn’t do much. You input common file types like WMV, AVI, MPEG and MP4; however, they can only be converted to MPEG, VOB or DAT. More specifically, DVD, SVCD or VCD, designed mostly for tangible media. We suspect this software is best used for those trying to place home videos on to DVD.

We really liked that the software will check your computer for appropriate codecs, and suggest where to find and download the codecs you don’t have. All of our conversion tests worked; however, we can’t justify a higher ranking for this product because it just isn’t as comprehensive as most of the other software we reviewed. Additionally, there is no support for portable devices like iPod or Zune.

The software includes an in-program guide and a selection of FAQs online. However, our email inquiries were never answered. more…
